Rate My Professor George Alexander

Alexander's research specializations focus on restorative decision-making in clinical dentistry, with particular emphasis on dentists' attitudes, knowledge, clinical factors, and educational perspectives regarding the use of dental amalgam and the transition to an amalgamless profession. His major publications include the five-part series 'Dentists' restorative decision-making and implications for an 'amalgamless' profession': Part 1, 'A review' (2014); Part 2, 'A qualitative study' (2014); Part 3, 'Dentists' attitudes' (2016); Part 4, 'Clinical factors' (2017); and Part 5, 'Knowledge factors' (2017), co-authored with M.S. Hopcraft, M.J. Tyas, and R.H.K. Wong. He also published 'Dental educators’ attitudes toward the teaching of dental amalgam' (2020) and presented 'Australian Dentists’ Attitudes to a Phase-down of Amalgam' (conference paper, 2014). These works have garnered over 115 citations and inform policy and practice on amalgam phase-down in Australia.
