Dr. Shehab's research specializations include extraction, isolation, characterization, and phytochemical investigation of medicinal plants; evaluation of biological activities of natural products; and food or herb-drug interactions. She pioneered the course 'Natural Medicines, Safety, and Efficacy' at Dubai Pharmacy College for Girls, the first of its kind in the Arab region, focusing on drug-herb interactions and supplement quality control. A member of the American Society of Pharmacognosy with certifications in nutrition and health, she serves as a reviewer for international journals in natural products and has published over 40 scientific papers in impact factor journals. She has received prestigious research awards from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Amsterdam in natural products and is recognized among the top two thousand scientists in the UAE. Dr. Shehab regularly participates in workshops, seminars, webinars, and conferences.
