Her research specializations encompass organizational psychology, technology and innovation management, judgment and decision-making, entrepreneurship, behavioural operations, behavioral strategy, R&D management, and engineering management. Garud has contributed to scholarly literature through publications in prominent journals. Notable works include 'The Paradoxical Effect of Employee Monitoring on Deviance' (2021), 'Motivated to disengage: The ethical consequences of goal displacement on deviance' (2020), 'To What Do I Owe This Visit?
