Rate My Professor Sheelagh McCracken

McCracken's research interests lie in finance law and commercial law, particularly secured transactions under the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth). She is the author of the authoritative text The Banker's Remedy of Set-Off, first published in 1993 and now in its fourth edition (Bloomsbury, 2024), which examines the banker's equitable right of set-off in depth. She co-authored the tenth edition of Everett and McCracken's Banking and Financial Institutions Law, a standard reference in banking regulation and financial institutions. Additionally, she edited Making Banking and Finance Law: A Snapshot, compiling working papers from the Ross Parsons Centre of Commercial, Corporate and Taxation Law.
