Sabeghi graduated with an MSci in Physics with Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London. His professional journey in higher education commenced with student leadership roles at the institution. He served two terms as Deputy President (Welfare) at Imperial College Union from 2019 to 2021, previously holding the position of RCSU Vice President for Welfare and Welfare Officer. During his tenure, he represented student interests on critical issues, including the Race Equality Charter Self-Assessment Team, where he emphasized unpacking findings related to equality.
