Rate My Professor Warren Julian

Professor Julian's research specializations encompass lighting design and research, daylighting and sky modeling, visual perception of gloom and lightness, interior and domestic lighting, dimming equipment selection, and Australian lighting standards. His extensive publication record features key works such as 'Domestic Lighting' (Architectural Science Review, 1973), 'AS 1680—The New Australian Lighting Code' (Architectural Science Review, 1979), 'Criteria for the Selection of Dimming Equipment in Schools' (Architectural Science Review, 1982), 'The Influence of Lighting in Architectural Design' (ANZAScA Conference, 1986), 'Daylight Measurement Data: Methods of Evaluation and Representation' (Lighting Research & Technology, 1992), 'Measuring appearance: Parameters indicated from gloom studies' (Lighting Research & Technology, 1992), 'Sky luminance: Standard digital form for modelling' (Lighting Research & Technology, 1995), 'The Development of Modelling Strategies for Whole Sky Spectrums under Real Conditions for International Use' (1995), 'Comparison of real Sydney skies with model skies' (Lighting Research & Technology, 2000), 'Sky analysis from CCD images: cloud cover' (Lighting Research & Technology, 2001), 'Visual perception of gloom' (Perception, 2008), and 'Opinion: Lighting's parallel universes' (Lighting Research & Technology, 2010). These contributions have advanced the integration of perceptual and technical aspects of light in architecture, influencing education, standards, and design practices.
