We are a department of active scholars (https://econ.williams.edu/) and currently have 25 tenured or tenure-track faculty members. The teaching load is two courses per semester. We offer extensive support and resources to help one succeed in teaching and research, including the college's First3 program, as well as programming organized by the Rice Center for Teaching and the NCFDD, among other initiatives. Williams College welcomes candidates who plan to seek research funding as part of their scholarly work. In addition to various internal funding opportunities, the College and its Grants Office are prepared to support faculty applications to a range of external federal and private funding sources.
