Education Level: PhD or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications
- Fulfilment of the requirements set out in Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, consolidated text)
- Holding a PhD degree in archaeology
- Academic achievements in Easter European archaeology, documented by publications and other academic accomplishments
- Documented active participation in academic life (international scientific conferences, research projects)
- Fieldwork experience in archaeological research
- Experience working with archival sources
- Experience collaborating witch researchers or academic institutions in Eastern Europe
- Experience in science communications and readiness to co-organize science communication events
- Experience in teaching at university level
- Proficiency in Polish and English sufficient to conduct teaching activities

Selection process
The competition consists of the following stages:
- Stage I - formal evaluation of documents,
- Stage II - substantive evaluation on the basis of submitted documents,
- Stage III - interview with selected candidate:
- presentation of the research proposal and scientific track record
- answering potential questions from the committee within the scope of this call for applications
- Stage IV - final evaluation of competence, experience and scientific achievements,
- Stage V - adjudication of the competition and announcement of results.

- Application for the competition addressed to the Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology (providing the reference number of the advertisement)

- Cover letter
- Plan for further research activities
- PhD diploma (or certificate of obtaining a doctoral degree)
- PDF files of five the most important publications.
- A declaration from the candidate confirming that they has read and accepts the rules for conducting competitions for the position of an academic teacher
- Information regarding the processing of personal data
