Applicants must meet the requirements laid down by the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act (Official Gazette Nos. 119/22 and 110/26), the Statute of the University of Zagreb and the Statute of the Faculty of Croatian Studies.

Specific Requirements

Experience in teaching at the higher education level; participation in the implementation of scientific research projects; experience in scientific and professional work on interdisciplinary topics linking the fields of biomedical and social sciences.

Selection process

The application period is 30 days from the date of publication of the Call for Applications in the Official Gazette.

Applications must state the applicant's first and last name and “for Call - October 2026” and must be submitted exclusively by e-mail to: dekanov.ured@fhs.hr.

Late and incomplete applications will not be considered. Applicants will be notified of the results by e-mail to the address indicated in their application.

The following additional selection criteria are required:

Applicants who, pursuant to special regulations, invoke their right to priority in employment must invoke that right in their application and submit all documentation prescribed by the relevant special regulations for exercising that right. Such applicants shall have priority in employment over other applicants under equal conditions.

Required documentation: personally signed application (stating the applicant's first and last name, date and place of birth, residential address, telephone/mobile phone number and e-mail address); personally signed curriculum vitae; proof of citizenship or, in the case of a foreign national, proof of knowledge of the Croatian language at C1 level; copies of all diplomas and evidence of fulfilment of the requirements and the right to priority in employment, where applicable.

Applicants must also submit a personally signed report on their scientific, teaching and professional work to date, including presentations and participation in scientific and professional conferences, a list of published works and works accepted for publication in PDF format, as well as full texts of the works in PDF format.

During this Call for Applications, the Faculty of Croatian Studies of the University of Zagreb, acting as the data controller in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation, collects and processes applicants' personal data contained in the documentation submitted in accordance with the requirements of the Call for Applications.

The Faculty retains such data in accordance with the applicable retention periods for archival and documentary material and subsequently permanently destroys them or, where applicable, returns them to unsuccessful applicants.
