Senior teaching assistant (m/f)

A temporary, full-time associate position of a senior teaching assistant (m/f) for a 4-year period in the scientific area of technical sciences, the field of civil engineering, in the Department of Geotechnics at the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering.

Besides general employment conditions, applicants have to fulfil the requirements prescribed by the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Law (OG No. 119/22, 110/26)

Besides a signed application form, applicants have to submit the following documents: a CV with the information about their work experience, data on their scientific, teaching and professional activities with a list of papers, evidence of their years of service issued by Croatian Pension Insurance Institute, proof of citizenship, proof of active knowledge of the English language (a certificate or an applicant's statement) and proof of computer literacy.

Those applicants whose mother tongue isn't Croatian have to submit proof of knowledge of the Croatian language, level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Applicants also have to submit a copy of a graduate diploma as well as a copy of a diploma which proves that they have completed a postgraduate study programme and that they have been awarded a PhD title in the area of technical sciences, the field of civil engineering. Applicants' scientific and professional work will also be taken into consideration during the selection procedure.

Applicants who state in their application that they have advantage over other candidates according to special regulations have to submit prescribed documents. They have advantage over other applicants only under equal conditions.

Applicants who state in their application that they have advantage over other candidates according to the Article 102 of the Croatian Homeland War Veterans and their Families Act (OG121/17, 98/19, 84/2, 156/231) besides an application form and proof that they fulfil the required criteria also have to submit evidence prescribed by the Article 103, subsection 1of that Law. Untimely and incomplete applications will not be considered. The selection procedure will be carried out according to the Ordinance on Job Vacancy Announcement at the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering, University of Zagreb, which is posted on the Faculty website. Applicants who fulfil the required criteria will be tested/interviewed with the aim of evaluating their suitability for the position they are applying for. The results of the selection procedure will be posted on the official webpage of the Faculty (www.gfv.unizg.hr).
