1. one employee to the vacant scientific-teaching position of Assistant Professor in the area of Technical Sciences, field Fundamental technical sciences, permanent, full-time.

All candidates applying for the position must meet the general criteria prescribed by the Labour Act ("Official Gazette", No. 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22, 46/23, and 64/23).

In addition to the general criteria established by the Labour Act, candidates for the position must also meet the criteria prescribed by Article 39, paragraphs 1 and 3, of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity ("Official Gazette", No. 119/22 and 110/26), the National University, Scientific, and Artistic Criteria ("Official Gazette", No. 42/26), as well as the criteria prescribed by Article 9, paragraph 1, and Article 36 of the Regulations on the Procedure for Election/Re-election to Scientific-Teaching, Artistic-Teaching, Teaching, Associate, and Professional Positions at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, consolidated text. These documents are published on the website www.gfos.unios.hr.

Candidates applying for the scientific-teaching position of Assistant Professor are required to submit documentation in accordance with Form No. 1, which is published on the Faculty’s website at www.gfos.unios.hr

For candidates applying for the position The Decision on Additional Criteria for Selection to a Vacant Scientific-Teaching Position of Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek shall apply (link: https://www.gfos.unios.hr/fakultet/akti-fakulteta-odluke). Candidates are required to substantiate their claims regarding the fulfillment of these additional criteria by providing credible documentation.

Persons of both genders may apply to the call for applications under equal conditions. Only an individual who has submitted a timely and complete application and who meets the formal requirements set out in the call for applications shall be considered a candidate.

A complete application is defined as one that contains all the information and attachments prescribed by this call for the relevant position - including the documentation specified in Form No. 1, and which is signed by hand. Untimely and incomplete applications will not be considered.

Persons who submit untimely and incomplete applications and who do not meet the formal requirements of the competition will not be considered candidates and will not be notified of the results of the competition.

For candidates who are foreign citizens, it is necessary to provide proof of knowledge of the Croatian language in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (C2).

Before starting employment, it is necessary to have a foreign educational qualification recognized.

Candidates, who, on the basis of special regulations – the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families ("Official Gazette" No. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23), Art. 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War ("Official Gazette" No. 84/21), Art. 48.f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids ("Official Gazette" No. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13 and 98/19), Art. 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities ("Official Gazette" No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20), invoke the right to priority in employment, are obliged to invoke this right in their application for the competition and to attach all evidence required by special regulations for the exercise of this right. The aforementioned candidates shall have priority in employment in relation to other applicants, only under equal conditions.

For candidates who, in their application, invoke the right to preferential employment under the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families ("Official Gazette" No. 121/17, 98/19 and 84/21) and the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War ("Official Gazette" No. 84/21), the list of evidence required to exercise this right is available at the link of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843.

Candidates who invoke the right to priority in employment pursuant to Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities ("Official Gazette" No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20) are required to invoke this right in their application for the competition and to submit all evidence of meeting the required criteria, as well as proof of disability.

Applications with evidence of meeting the competition criteria must be submitted within 30 days from the date of publication of the competition in electronic form in PDF format to the address pisarnica@gfos.hr with the indication: „Prijava na natječaj pod točkom 1" or "Application to the tender under point 1".

All candidates of the Competition will be informed about the results of the Competition within fifteen (15) days from the date of its completion. The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek reserves the right to inform all registered candidates via the e-mail address specified in the application.

All candidates are required to submit a completed and signed Consent Form with their application for the competition, in which the candidate gives their consent for all their data contained in the competition documentation to be collected and processed for the purpose of implementing the competition in accordance with the regulations governing the protection of personal data, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). The Consent Form is published on the website of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek (link: http://www.gfos.unios.hr/obrasci). Without a properly completed and signed Consent Form with the competition application, the application will be considered incomplete and will be rejected.
