Work Performed:
•Primary contact for the Big South Conference, Ohio Valley Conference, and ESPN
•Responsible for directing, staffing, and producing 70-90 broadcasts for the Big South Conference and ESPN+ annually
•Maintain production trailer and equipment of other broadcast setups
•Create schedule for Big South Network/ESPN+ productions
•Responsible for staffing and training production crews including camera operators, replay operator, graphics personnel and on-air talent
•Create rundowns, formats and preparing systems for all broadcasts
•Involved in the process for onboarding all broadcast production contracted staff
•Create content for CSU's website including - Game recaps/highlights, coach's shows, player features, etc.
•Distribute highlights to the Big South Conference, local news, ESPN, etc.
•Film highlights while traveling with various teams, distribute those highlights to local news and edit highlights for CSU's website
•Assists Assistant A.D. for Athletic Communications/PR with organization and supervision at home events
•Helps coordinate and supervise student workers
•Maintains and updates CSU Social Media accounts
•Covers other University-related events for the athletic department
•Fulfillment of department sponsored elements to be ran on ESPN+ broadcasts
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant full-time experience in a field of professional or collegiate athletic communications or related network news and broadcasting. Experience with NewTek TriCaster, 3Play, Vizrt, and LiveBook Graphics. Adobe Creative Suite experience including After Effects and Premier desirable. Must have a clear understanding of NCAA rules and regulations, ESPN production standards and fulfillment of department sponsored broadcast elements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
