Southern Arkansas University’s College of Science and Engineering is accepting applications for an Instructor of Agriculture position. The successful candidate will teach introductory-level plant science courses and labs, as well as related courses in plant science such as greenhouse management. Duties: Teach upper- and lower-division plant science courses as well as courses in the candidate’s area of expertise; prepare, organize, supervise, and deliver hands-on learning labs that support classroom curriculum; engage in recruitment, retention, and other duties as assigned. The teaching load is expected to average 15 credit hours per semester
Qualifications: Master’s degree in an agriculture field required; university teaching experience preferred; ability to teach undergraduate students; excellent communication skills; ability to work well with others; have a strong desire to interact with students both inside and outside the classroom All SAU faculty and staff demonstrate a commitment to the value of all members of the SAU community, to excellence in interpersonal behaviors, and effective collaboration with colleagues.
