Termez State University invites applications from qualified international academics for teaching and research positions at the Faculty of Information Technology.
We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in:
- Python Programming and Scientific Python Libraries

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, curriculum development, student supervision, and international academic cooperation.
Main responsibilities include:
- Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses in English;
- Delivering theoretical and practical courses related to Python, Machine Learning, Big Data and Data Science;
- Supervising undergraduate and graduate research projects;
- Conducting and publishing high-quality research;
- Contributing to curriculum development and modernization;
- Participating in international research projects and grant applications;
- Supporting the development of research groups and laboratories at the Faculty of Information Technology.
Candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field.
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in Python-based scientific and data-analysis libraries such as NumPy, pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib, scikit-learn, TensorFlow and PyTorch, as well as experience in Machine Learning, Big Data technologies and international research projects.

Skills/Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- Strong academic and/or research background in Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Python-based scientific computing.
- Practical experience with Python and relevant libraries such as NumPy, pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and/or PyTorch.
- Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in English.
- Experience in conducting and publishing research in peer-reviewed international journals and/or conference proceedings.
- Ability to supervise student research projects and contribute to curriculum development.
- Experience in international research cooperation and grant projects will be considered an advantage.
Specific Requirements
- Applicants must hold a doctoral degree relevant to the advertised position.
- Candidates should demonstrate expertise in at least one of the following areas: Python Programming, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, or related fields.
- Preference will be given to candidates with publications indexed in Scopus and/or Web of Science.
- Experience in developing and implementing Machine Learning or Data Science projects is highly desirable.
- Candidates should be able to deliver theoretical and practical classes in English.
- International teaching, research, laboratory, or project experience will be an advantage.
- The selected candidate is expected to contribute to research projects, grant applications, student supervision, and the development of the Faculty of Information Technology.

Benefits
- Annual salary will range from USD 20,000 to USD 30,000, depending on the qualifications, academic experience, and expertise of the selected candidate. The salary will be paid in monthly installments throughout the year.

Eligibility criteria
- PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- Relevant teaching and/or research experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following areas: Python Programming, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, or related fields.
- Ability to teach in English.
- Research publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or international conference proceedings.
- Preference will be given to candidates with publications indexed in Scopus and/or Web of Science and experience in international research projects.
Selection process
Applications will be reviewed by the relevant academic and administrative representatives of Termez State University.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an online interview. During the interview, candidates may be asked to discuss their teaching experience, research profile, proposed contribution to the Faculty of Information Technology, and potential areas of collaboration with Termez State University.
The final decision will be based on academic qualifications, research experience, teaching competence, international experience, and the candidate’s potential contribution to the University’s academic and research development.
