AU SAT Scores

SAT Score Ranges for Admitted Students:

• Score Range: 980–1200 (combined Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, and Math)
• Average Score: Approximately 1090
• 75th Percentile: Around 1200, meaning top admitted students often score at or above this mark

Key Points:

• SAT or ACT scores are not strictly required at Ashland University (AU), as the university has adopted a test-optional policy for many programs.
• When submitted, SAT scores are evaluated as part of a holistic review process, alongside GPA, extracurriculars, and other factors.
• AU practices superscoring for SAT scores, meaning the highest section scores from multiple test dates are combined for consideration.
• Alternatives such as AP or IB test scores may be considered for admission or placement, though they do not replace SAT/ACT scores if submitted.
• Applicants are recommended to aim for an SAT score of at least 1100–1200 to be competitive for admission and potential merit-based scholarships at Ashland University.
