AU SAT Scores

SAT Score Ranges for Admitted Students:

• Score Range: 850–1080 (combined Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, and Math)
• Average Score: Approximately 960
• 75th Percentile: Around 1080, meaning 25% of admitted students score above this mark

Key Points:

• SAT or ACT scores are optional at Averett University (AU) due to its test-optional policy, allowing students to decide whether to submit scores.
• When submitted, SAT scores are evaluated as part of a holistic review process, alongside GPA, extracurriculars, and personal statements.
• AU does practice superscoring, meaning the university considers the highest section scores across multiple SAT test dates to create the best possible composite score.
• Alternatives such as AP or IB test scores may be considered to demonstrate academic strength, especially for test-optional applicants.
• For a competitive edge, prospective students should aim for an SAT score near or above 1080 to align with the upper range of admitted students at Averett University.
