Key Points:

• SAT or ACT scores are currently required for most freshman applicants to Florida State University, though policies may evolve, so checking the latest requirements is advised.
• FSU employs a holistic review process, meaning SAT scores are evaluated alongside GPA, extracurriculars, essays, and other factors.
• Florida State University practices superscoring, combining the highest section scores from multiple SAT test dates to create the best possible composite score.
• Alternatives such as AP or IB test scores may strengthen an application but do not replace the SAT/ACT requirement for most applicants.
• For competitive admission to FSU, applicants should aim for SAT scores near or above the 75th percentile (1360) to stand out in the applicant pool.
