GSW SAT Scores

SAT Score Ranges for Admitted Students:

• Score Range: 920–1140 (combined Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, and Math)
• Average Score: 1030
• 75th Percentile: 1140 (indicating that 25% of admitted students scored at or above this level)

Key Points:

• SAT or ACT scores are required for most freshman applicants to Georgia Southwestern University (GSW), though test-optional policies may apply for certain programs or circumstances.
• GSW evaluates scores as part of a holistic review process, considering them alongside GPA, coursework rigor, and other application materials.
• Georgia Southwestern University does not officially superscore SAT results, so applicants should submit their highest single-sitting score.
• Alternatives such as AP or IB test scores may be considered for placement or credit but do not replace SAT/ACT requirements for admission.
• Prospective students are encouraged to aim for an SAT score of at least 1030–1140 to be competitive for admission to GSW, with higher scores improving chances for scholarships and selective programs.
